wall-e: best movie of the year. beautiful and stunning.
wanted: dumb as hell but better than the comic, which isn' saying much
hancock: not that great in the first place but devolves into dumb shit
the dark knight: overhyped but total tour-de-force ledger
mummy: tomb of emporer dragon: dumb as hell and fraser is complete shit
tropic thunder: funny and some great scenes and downey jr. is great. but not exactly anything unexpected
star wars clone wars: really bad. annoying.
burn after reading: funny and great pitt but usual coen brothers frustrations
igor: lackluster and unexpectedly offensive
rachel getting married: want to see this
religulous: biased as shit but kinda funny and makes some good points
w.: not a funny making-fun-of film but not a full-on biography so not great.
changeling: i seem to be alone in really liking jolie's performance. a tour-de-force, or whatever.
slumdog millionaire: overrated but a total ride
quantum of solace: overblown and not nearly as good as casino royale
bolt: nothing you haven't seen before but charming
milk: probably second best of year. fantastic, informing, entertaining, sad.
frost/nixon: doesn't feel like it gets anywhere that much but definitely edge-of-your-seat and good.
gran torino: awesome eastwood, weird ending.
the wrestler: probably 3rd best of year. fantastic. with brilliant acting.
tale of despereaux: lackluster.
benjamin button: idk if this is really movie magic. it's tough. i'm going to have to go with "not", sorry. pitt is weak.
waltz with bashir: really good, a ride, in the least frivolous sense.
